A day with the Beaudesert Quilters

The Beaudesert girls thoroughly enjoyed making their Jelly Roll quilts, lead by the wonderful Sandi who helps me in the shop. There she is hiding behind her quilt...4th from the right. Most of the girls used Bali Pops which are perfect...such gorgeous colours.

Ugly Fabric or is it?

Teresa's MIL was very concerned about the choice of fabric she had used as the centre square in her quilt..it wasn't working for her...for me I thought it was wonderful.

On Tuesday she called in to show me the finished quilt and she took my advice and left it in. The result was stunning!

Jelly Roll Race

Yesterday, the girls had their very own Jelly Roll race using Bali Pops. Look great, don't they?

The colours are just stunning.

To complete their quilts, they are going to add peepers and borders...can't wait to see them finished.

I spent the day teaching Joe Jingles...here he is looking very naked ...poor fella.

All dressed and looking very much the part.

Helen also spent the day with us she had just finished making Loubee Lou

which looked rather alot like these girls.

It was a lovely way to spend the day.

Rather wet and dreary in Brisbane today but we didn't notice until it was time to go home.

Doll making classes are held regularly, why not join us.

My Garden BOM - Lynette Anderson Designs

Lynette Anderson has been working away on a new mystery block of the month called My Garden. Lynette has designed nine sweet stitchery/appliqué patterns each with a garden theme. Each block is surrounded by tiny strips of fabric courthouse steps style and are then enhanced with the addition of a beautiful handpainted wooden button.
The patterns are free each month, they are Lynette's gift to you but you need to register with a participating store. If you would like to join in the fun you will find My Garden listed on our website here.

Helen has just finished our sample for this large 19" wide x 5" deep pillow called Heartfelt Wishes.

The cushion top is crazy patched, beautifully embroidered and finishes with pleated ruffles and ric-rac! The pattern from Crabapple Hill includes 6 sayings to let you personalize the tag as well! We have a limited number of kit available here

Wednesday Girls

Every Wednesday your can join us and make any thing you would like - dolls, quilts, anything and I'm there if you need a hand. These are some of the items the girls have been working on in our Wednesday Gathering.

Our Gatherings are full of fun, friendship and most of all laughter. I will be starting new gatherings on Saturday and Wednesday Evening for the ladies who work as well as regular Friday Gathering. I will have to start thinking of some fabulous names instead of calling you Wednesday Girls or Friday Girls and so on. Any ideas??
